Arlington Cast Stone Inc. was established in January of 1987 by Nick Easen and a partner. After one year Nick bought out the partner and incorporated the company. So began Arlington Cast Stone Inc.
When the company first started they manufactured the stone in a garage with three employees, two of which are still with them. Presently Nick, his wife Tracie, and their dedicated team of employees occupy over 30,000 square feet of manufacturing space and are continuing to grow. Arlington Cast Stone Inc. prides itself on quality of product and the complete satisfaction of the customer.
Cast Stone is a highly refined mixture of portland cement and graded aggregates and is generally used in combination with other building material. These are just a few of the uses: address blocks, keystones, fireplaces, window and door surround, columns, and quoins. In brief, Cast Stone is ornamental, decorative, and functional. The earliest known use of Cast Stone was in the year 1138. The product was used significantly in London in and around 1900. It gained widespread acceptance in America in 1920.
Today, Cast Stone is a truly superior alternative to natural cut building stone. Combined with its ability to simulate or reproduce an almost limitless variety of natural stones, Cast Stone offers many advantages over cut stone. Cast Stone can be internally reinforced with steel and precisely colored though mineral oxides. The ability of Cast Stone to duplicate deteriorating natural stone on existing buildings makes it an ideal material for the remodeling or restoration of old structures. The creative use of Cast Stone adds that extra dimension of design and beauty. From a renaissance look to a post - Modern style, Cast Stone delivers function, freedom of design, and style.
